This feel good short film was written, directed, produced, and edited by Trinity Hutzler during her final semester of college. This project was completed over two months. The first month was entirely pre-production including writing the script. The hardest part out of everything was securing the location. I spoke to every family owned hardware story in the area to pitch the idea and we had no budget at all. When I finally found someone who was able to let us go through with it, we only had two or three days to confirm with crew (or find new people) for the approved dates they gave us. It was then three quick days of filming on location before moving into post-production. Editing, sound, color, and the original soundtrack was all done within a week to make submission dates for the two local festivals I was aiming for.

I was driven to create this story because many of the short films I would see were either scary, or sad, or trying to tackle large social topics, and it would just make me depressed after watching them sometimes. I wanted to create something that would make you smile and warm your heart. I wrote this with the help of inspiration from friends and their funny stories and ideas and put together a team of amazing people that helped to make it a reality. Would I ever write again? Maybe. Would I ever direct again? Probably not. Would I ever produce again? Yes it was pretty exciting, and satisfying. Obviously I love editing so, would do again, but overall it was an incredible experience. It really helped me to understand each and every job that goes into a production and why each one is important. I am so glad I chose to make this short film.
